The Communications Authority of Hong Kong (OFCA) is a government department that supports the Communications Authority (CA) in managing and administering the radio spectrum and telecommunications approvals. OFCA has transferred responsibility for type approval of telecommunications and radio equipment to a certification body called the Local Certification Authority (LCB).

Suppliers or manufacturers of equipment within the scope of technical standards must ensure that their equipment meets the technical requirements specified in the CA or HKTEC Program or the technical standards specified or approved by the HKTEC Program or HKCA Specifications.

China Taiwan

Taiwan's NCC is the body responsible for regulating telecommunications and broadcasting services. Together with recognized certification bodies, it provides type approval for all telecommunications terminal equipment and low-power radio equipment to be imported or sold in Taiwan. Equipment must meet Taiwan standards. All products should be able to connect to a public switched communication network. Radiofrequency emitting products must be approved and registered before they can be sold in Taiwan.
