Telepermit Spark New Zealand - Spark New Zealand has a formal process for setting standards for devices that may be connected to various telecommunications networks. Spark runs the Permit to Connect (PTC) approval system for devices connected to the Spark network. New Zealand law stipulates that “individuals can only connect equipment to the network or to any device that is owned or operated by the operator who has agreed to connect” (Article 106 of the Telecommunications Act). Spark released a Telepermit, which shows Spark's agreement for any device connection. Once the equipment meets the specifications and conditions of the PTC acceptance test process, Spark provides the equipment connection agreement by granting Telepermit to the applicant. Telepermit certification shows that the device meets the requirements, meets the requirements, and it can be expected that it will not interfere with other services or users.

Products sold in New Zealand that have been authorized by Telepermit are also entitled to display the Telepermit label on the device. This label clearly indicates that the product has been certified and may be connected to the Spark network. Products that are not Telepermitted shall not be connected to the Spark network. Such products may be deemed to violate Article 106 of the 2001 Telecommunications Act, and the seller may face legal proceedings under the Consumer Protection Act.
