USA (FCC) - Final Rule for Short-Range Radars in 60 GHz Band

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the USA adopted newer, more flexible rules regarding short-range radar technology operating in the 57-71 GHz (60 GHz) frequency band on May 18, 2023.  The FCC officially published the Final Rule on July 24, 2023, revising the rules to provide new opportunities for radars to operate and coexist with other unlicensed technologies within the 60 GHz band.  The Rule will come into effect on August 23, 2023.
