The Department of Innovation, Science and Economic Development (ISED) Canada is inviting public input on RSS-287, Issue 3, dated November 2023. 

This standard pertains to the certification requirements for various emergency beacon devices, including Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacons (EPIRBs), 

Emergency Locator Transmitters (ELTs), Personal Locator Beacons (PLBs), and Maritime Survivor Locator Devices (MSLDs). 


Feedback is requested for this document that outlines specifications for these critical safety devices. Comments are accepted here until January 12, 2024.
