Ke Mei Ou Lab Becomes the First and Only Laboratory in China with Full OFCA Accreditation for Seven Hong Kong Telecommunications Standards – Complete Coverage of HKTA 2011/2017/2023/2028/2029/2032/2033

(Shenzhen, China) – Ke Mei Ou Lab Co., Ltd. has officially obtained full-scope testing capability, recognized by the Office of the Communications Authority (OFCA) of Hong Kong, for seven telecommunications standards under its ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation (ANAB Certificate No. AT-1532):

• HKTA 2011 – Network Connection Specification for Connection of CPE to Direct Exchange Lines (DEL) of the PSTN in Hong Kong

• HKTA 2017 – Network Connection Specification for Connection of CPE to the PTN in Hong Kong over Digital Trunk at 1544 kbit/s using DTMF Signalling

• HKTA 2023 – Network Connection Specification for Connection of CPE to the Leased Line or Private Circuit provided by the Fixed Telecommunications Network Services (FTNS) Operators in Hong Kong for Voiceband Operation

• HKTA 2028 – Network Connection Specification for Connection of CPE to the PTNs in Hong Kong Using Digital Leased Circuits at Data Rate of 1544 kbit/s based on ITU-T G.703

• HKTA 2029 – Network Connection Specification for Connection of CPE to the PTN in Hong Kong using ISDN Primary Rate Access (PRA) at 1544 kbit/s

• HKTA 2032 – Network Connection Specification for Connection of CPE to the PTNs in Hong Kong Using ADSL based on ITU-T G.992.1

• HKTA 2033 – Network Connection Specification for Connection of CPE to the PTNs in Hong Kong Using Splitterless ADSL based on ITU-T G.992.2

Ke Mei Ou Lab is now the first and only laboratory in mainland China accredited by ANAB to perform full-scope testing to all seven OFCA standards, enabling manufacturers to achieve “one-stop testing, direct access to Hong Kong, seamless market entry.”

HKTA 2023 – Leased Line/Private Circuit Network Connection Specification (Voiceband Operation)

This specification applies to Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) connecting to voiceband leased lines or private circuits provided by Fixed Telecommunications Network Services (FTNS) operators in Hong Kong. Key test areas include:

• Electrical Safety: Compliance with HKTA 2001 safety specifications

• Transmission Performance: Impedance matching (600Ω nominal balanced impedance), insertion loss, return loss, frequency response

• Signaling Compatibility: Dialing, on-hook/off-hook detection, etc.

• Interference Control: Impulse noise limits (peak-to-peak impulse noise transmitted to the private circuit by the CPE shall not exceed 2V)

• Physical Interface: RJ plug and socket requirements
